This tutorial will show you how to quickly create vector halftone gradients in Adobe Illustrator. This is the same method used to create our Gradients 001 vector set.
Start by creating two simple vector shapes. Here, I made a larger and a smaller square.
Click each square with the blend tool to create the in between shapes. If you double click on the blend tool in the toolbar, it will give you the option to specify the number of steps.
Copy and paste your newly created shape.
Select all and expand your shapes. Using the blend tool once again. Click on the both sets of objects and your halftone pattern is complete!
