ThrashTones 2 is the rough-edged cousin of Knockout Halftones and ColorPop Halftones. Same automatic workflow, same clean transparency, but the dots are worn, grimy, and slightly broken. 

Run it one-color for a single-ink halftone, or multicolor to knock the halftone through your full-color art. Either way it looks like it came off a press that's seen a few decades, not a plotter.

18 lo-fi halftone styles

Bolt Dots, Grime Dots, Meltdown, Space Dots, Grit Dots, Pulp Dots, Analog Dots, Fan Dots, Stipplism, Cobbles, Scales, Sandblast, Lines, Line Wiggle, Broken Lines, Mesh, Ripples, and Waves. Every pattern lightens and darkens with the tones in your image, so photos and gradients shade the way a real halftone should. Scale and rotate any pattern with a double-click.

Three modes, one template

1. One-Color Knockout. A single-color halftone on transparency. Any color you want, ready for screen print, DTF, or DTG.
2. Mellow Multicolor. A soft halftone laid over your full-color art. No knockout, just texture.
3. Multicolor Knockout. The halftones punch through your full-color art so the shirt color shows through. Softer hand, less ink, and it still holds together.

Print-ready, every time

The template is 4200 × 5700 pixels, big enough for a full-size front or back print. Exports as a PNG with 100% transparency and zero semi-transparent pixels. What you see on screen is what prints.

How it's different

Knockout Halftones is one-color and crisp. ColorPop Halftones is multicolor and bold. ThrashTones 2 does one-color or multicolor, with halftones that look worn in. Pick it when you want the print to feel vintage, hand-pulled, or a little beat up.

Requirements

• Photoshop CC (year 2013 to Present) for Desktop Mac and Windows. (not compatible with Elements)

ThrashTones 2 shares a name with the original ThrashTones brush set and nothing else. It's a completely new tool with new patterns, a new automatic workflow, and transparent knockout output. If you own the original, the brushes are unchanged and still available to re-download. ThrashTones 2 is a separate product, not an upgrade.
